There’s a spider in my bath…

Bath bombs with hidden spider!

You will need  bicarbonate of soda, citric acid, soap colouring, a bowl, whisk, water spray, ice cream scoop and, of course, a plastic spider!

To make 4 smallish bath bombs you will need 150g of bicarbonate of soda and 50g of citric acid

In a dry bowl put the bicarbonate of soda and citric acid

Whisk the dry ingredients together

Carefully add a few drops of the soap colouring, whisking all the time.

Then add a few sprays of water.

Keep whisking! This is very important

Keep adding the water and whisking until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs

Press some of the mixture into the ice cream scoop. If it is crumbly it’s too dry. Tip into the bowl and spray and whisk again.

When your scoop is half full, press the spider in, and then cover with more mixture and press down.

You should be able to slide the bath bomb out of the scoop. If it crumbles, it’s too dry. Tip into the bowl and spray and whisk again.

Leave to dry for about an hour
